Front, side, and top orthographic views of the main temple design are completed, which are featured below. The next stage of production takes place in two parts. First, it is now Phil’s responsibility to fully realize, with me offering input along the way, and render a finished variation of the environment. Next, I'll begin modeling the temple (No “smoothing” and created with all quads—I accept nothing else with my hard surface, polygonal modeling.). Given, the temple design is still lacking some of the finer detailing, but when you are modeling, you don’t want to be distracted by items of textural elements in concept art (Once we get to the texturing phase, much more elaborate patterning, decorative features, and deteriorative constituents will be added.). Also, note that while modeling, I will be creating accessories of my own beyond that which the concept art provides. Why? Sometimes concept art will look great on paper but may not translate well into a 3-D environment. In effect, it’s up to the Modeler to “fill in the blanks” of certain components that the Concept Artist didn’t embrace—almost as if this was the final stage for refinement and conceptualization.
Below is orthographic imagery of the front, side, and top views of the main temple design.
Below is a depiction of the temple water flows and waterfalls I plan on creating in a 3-D environment. The blue arrows indicate water paths that will be included in the final rendering. Areas cyan are being taken into consideration and are only experimental at this time.
